Bears At Falcons Odds, Betting Preview: Not Much Respect For Chicago Despite 2-0 Start

The Bears will take on the winless Falcons in Atlanta this Sunday, and here are all the important details for NFL betting on the Week 3 matchup between the two teams.

Let’s start by analyzing the odds from all five online sportsbooks in Illinois.

BetRivers DraftKings FanDuel PointsBet John Hill
Buccaneers TB – 3.5, 44.5″ – 3.5, 44.5″ – 3.5, 44 – 3.5, 44.5″ – 3.5, 44.5″
Animals CHI + 3.5, 44. 5 + 3.5, 44 + 3.5, 44 + 3.5, 44. 5 + 3.5, 44. 5

The Bears have defied the odds to maintain an undefeated 2-0 record, while the Falcons continue to struggle with a winless 0-2 record.

Atlanta initially opened as the favored team by 3 points, but early funding for the Falcons likely raised the total to 3.5%.

Bears & rsquo, there may be rivalry.

The Bears defeated both the winless Lions and the Giants, but their victory was not particularly notable.

D’Andre Swift’s missed touchdown pass was crucial for Detroit to secure a win, but Chicago failed to cover the 5.5-point spread in their victory over New York, who played most of the game without Saquon Barkley.

Although they were outscored 13-0 in the second half, the Bears were able to maintain their lead of 17-0 from halftime.

Although the Chicago Bears have a chance to win this game, the line is still reasonable.

Mitchell Trubisky’s recent improvement on the field has made him a more viable option for Chicago’s long-term quarterback situation. His performance has overshadowed Nick Foles, with a passer rating of 92.7, five touchdowns, and only two interceptions so far this year.

Trubisky has exceeded expectations, especially since at least one of his selections may have been caused by Allen Robinson’s mistake.

Another successful game is in store for him this weekend. In the last two months, the Falcons have ranked 31st in the NFL, giving up an average of 476.5 yards per game.

Even though they held a 39-30 lead with only 2:52 left in the game and had a 99.9% chance of winning, they ultimately fell to the Cowboys by a score of 40-39.

In Atlanta, an impressive 372 passing yards are allowed per game. The Falcons have faced off against two top quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Dak Prescott.

Nonetheless, Trubisky and the Bears’ average performance make for an exciting matchup.

On act, Falcons are frightening.

The Falcons’ offense cannot be faulted, despite their 0-2 record.

Atlanta is second in points per game and third in total yards.

In just two games, Matt Ryan has been outstanding, accumulating 723 yards on only eight throws.

He will face a Bears defense that has shown inconsistency in the past two weeks. Fans who were expecting the device to resemble the 2018 model rather than the 2019 version were let down.

Had Kenny Golladay been present and Swift not dropped the score, the Bears would have potentially allowed the Lions to score 30 points in the last moments of Week 1, with Matthew Stafford leading the charge.

In Week 2, they had a solid performance against the Giants in the first quarter, but struggled in the following quarter as Daniel Jones posed a formidable challenge, scoring 13 unanswered points.

Danny Trevathan, the linebacker, has been having trouble with pass coverage, but not in the positive way that a 2020 social media teaser might suggest. The Bears had to use three safeties on Sunday to cover up his struggles, a strategy that may not lead to sustained success. Trevathan played a crucial role in the Bears’ strong defense in 2018.

The absence of Eddie Goldman has left the front seven performing at a satisfactory level, while the secondary has shown potential to be the best the Falcons have faced. Robert Quinn made a game-changing play by forcing a fumble in his debut as a Bear last month, and Khalil Mack’s pass rush could be the key to success.

Chicago is currently ranked 14th in the league with five sacks in two games. While this is not a bad performance, it is below expectations for a team with standout players like Mack, Quinn, and Akiem Hicks.

The Falcons’ head coach, Dan Quinn, announced that Kaleb McGary, their right tackle, will be out for Week 3. As a result, the Bears should seize the opportunity and keep the pressure on Ryan throughout the game.

Animals are in excellent health.

The Bears’ robust health is a major asset, especially in light of the injuries witnessed in Week 2.

Despite having limited exercise plans for the next month, Quinn and Mack still managed to participate in the game. Additionally, Chicago came out of the conflict with New York unscathed, without any major damage.

Aside from McGary, the Falcons are facing a defense plagued by injuries. Updates on the status of Kendall Sheffield, Charles Harris, Marlon Davidson, and Ricardo Allen will be provided later in the week.
