You may not be familiar with Caliente Interactive, a new casino preparing to launch in the Illinois market.

The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) denied Fubo Sportsbook’s application for an Illinois sportsbook license at the meeting held on Thursday.

Marcus Fruchter, the superintendent of the IGB, mentioned that another individual who was not identified withdrew their bid for an unlicensed sportsbook.

Fubo, a well-known TV streaming service, enhances the viewing experience by including sportsbooks in Iowa and Arizona. This feature allows users to seamlessly integrate their sports betting account with their TV subscription.

The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) surprised many by approving Caliente’s proposal as a potential sports betting option for residents of the Prairie State over Fubo. The lack of information available online about Caliente only added to the intrigue surrounding the IGB.

Caliente is in the process of obtaining a full license, and it is expected to be completed soon. In the upcoming weeks, they will be collaborating with IGB to finalize the approval. It appears that Tekkorp, a NASDAQ-listed company, is licensing the Caliente product.
