The long-awaited rebranding of Jumer’s Casino & Hotel is now official, with the establishment now officially known as Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel.

The news was broken by Bally & rsquo on Tuesday morning:

In October 2020, Delaware North sold Jumer’s to Twin River Holdings for $120 million. Following this, Twin River rebranded itself as Bally’s Corporation.

It’s worth mentioning that the new branding includes “Quad Cities”, but it was already expected to incorporate “Bally’s” in some manner. The Quad Cities is a region straddling the border of Iowa and Illinois, comprising the cities of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, and Rock Island (where Bally’s is situated) and Moline in Illinois.

Davenport and Bettendorf are located in Iowa, while Rock Island and Moline are in Illinois.

Bally & rsquo is the sole casino in the northwest region of Illinois. However, it competes with two casinos in Iowa – the Isle of Capri Casino in Bettendorf and the Rhythm City Casino in Davenport.

Bally’s is currently merging its branding both internally and externally, said a spokesperson. For example, the large digital sign that reads “Jumer’s” is still visible outside the casino, but motorists on the highway will observe that it has been replaced with “Bally’s”.

Expect to learn more about Bally & rsquo in Illinois soon after the casino box is checked.

Will there be a Bally Bet Sportsbook in Illinois?

In June, the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) granted Bally’s a retail sports betting license. However, an official request to start sports betting in Illinois still needs to be filed by Bally’s.

Considering its success in other states, it’s highly likely that Bally & rsquo will apply for an online license at some point.

During the sale of Jumer’s, Twin River’s President and CEO, George Papanier stated:

& ldquo, This acquisition broadens our geographic reach to yet another alluring market. Exposure to a burgeoning games market in andnbsp, Illinois, with the potential to profit from potentially beneficial sports betting opportunities, is made possible by this. We are excited about the chance to increase progressive revenues and cash flow by utilizing our administrative expertise and tried-and-true integration strategy. & rdquo,

Bally Bet Sportsbook, currently operational in Colorado and Iowa, is likely to undergo significant expansion in the forthcoming years. One of the probable locations for expansion is Illinois, but the timeline for this remains uncertain.

Bally’s, through its casino, has market access and is not required to apply for an online-only license costing $20 million. If there are no bids for such a license, Illinois will enforce in-person registration unless a legislative amendment is made.

most recent information on new gambling in Illinois

While Bally’s introduces a new casino brand to Illinois, the state still hosts 10 existing casinos. Additionally, six new licenses are currently available.

The IGB has been making headway on several designated regions despite the tedious process. The board has assessed Hard Rock Casino Rockford and Walker’s Bluff Casino in Williamson County as “preliminarily suitable” for a license, marking a significant milestone towards obtaining final approval.

The IGB recently declared that it would select the successful bids for the Waukegan and south suburban licenses by mid-January. The procedures for these licenses had been progressing at a particularly slow pace, but there is now a glimmer of hope.
