Par-A-Dice History

The Par-A-Dice Casino was established in Peoria in 1991, but by 1993 it had moved to the opposite bank of the Illinois River, where it remains to this day. Initially, local investors managed the casino, however, it was quickly purchased by Boyd Gaming Corp.

Par-A-Dice was initially a riverboat casino, frequently sailing the Illinois River and Peoria Lake. However, with the change in Illinois law in 1999, riverboat casinos were no longer mandated to leave their docks, although Par-A-Dice ventured out once more in 2010.
