Return To Wrigley Field: More Cubs Fans, Vaccinations And Free Hot Dogs, Too

On Friday, Illinois entered its Bridge Phase & rdquo, which gives Chicago baseball teams the go-ahead to welcome back fans at a 60 % capacity.
In the past, there was only a 25 % power for fans at Wrigley Field and Guaranteed Rate Field. However, the Cubs will be able to increase that amount to 60 % starting on May 28 against the Reds.
At full power, Wrigley Field can accommodate 41, 649 spectators. Therefore, at 60 %, each game will receive about 25,000 followers through the walls.
The 60% capacity at Wrigley Field may be short-lived, as Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenneysays he’s hopeful for full capacity at Wrigley by July.
There will still be COVID – 19 protocols that people will need to adhere to at the games, even though that & rsquo is all good news for Cubs fans. Here are a few of the fundamental guidelines.
Does Wrigley Field need to wear faces?
Yes. The Cubs’ official website states that face coverings are required for everyone older than 2 years, regardless of vaccination status.
With one notable exceptions, the Cubs advise followers to always wear their masks while eating or drinking. Throat gaiters and valve-equipped masks are not allowed.
Additionally, Wrigley Field is providing disposable faces to supporters in need. Additionally, side cleanser is accessible everywhere.
Completely incentives for those who receive vaccinations at Wrigley
Wrigley Field is a mass COVID-19 vaccination site. The shots are being administered outside of the ballpark at Gallagher Way. You can sign up for an appointment, and there is plenty of availability.
And for the Cubs’ upcoming series against the Nationals, fans who get vaccinated will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and soda inside the park. We don’t know how long this perk will last, but we at least know it will be in effect for the series against Washington.
This year, the BudweiserBleachers may have a fully immunized location.
You must provide proof of your COVID – 19 vaccination in order to stay around. Without social distance, the area may be sold to capacity. Single-game tickets on & nbsp are$ 20 plus taxes. There were only a few cards accessible online as of this writing.
Cashless at this point, Wrigley Field
As of 2021, Wrigley will have a digital repayment method. You can only use a wireless budget, debit card, or credit card to pay for concessions or raffle tickets.
You may turn cash into a card that you can use to make purchases at Wrigley Field using reverse ATMs, which are also accessible throughout the park.
As such, the Cubs website encourages you to order concessions using the MLB Ballpark app on your phone. The policy reads:
Mobile ordering is the main method for getting from vendors and concession stands to your seat, & ldquo, as of this year. Purchases may become made using MLB Ballpark. Using a QR script scan, access the software or website. There is in-seat hawking, but all transactions are digital. & rdquo,
Kids social isolation and COVID techniques
Wrigley Field will still make an effort to give fans their space, even though it will be more challenging to distance at 60 % capacity as opposed to 25 %.
Cards are being sold in capsules by the Cubs. There won’t be as much real distance with the increased capacity, it is obvious.
Wrigley did, however, make an effort to encourage distance.
How to place an Illinois Cubs wager
Eventually, there will be a retail DraftKingsSportsbook at Wrigley Field. But that is not open yet.
For now, you can bet on the Cubs from your phone. Though, of course, that’s only possible if you’ve already downloaded one or more sports betting app in Illinois.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzkerremoved online sports betting registration in April. Now, you must drive to a casino or horse racetrack to create an account.
But those who already have online sportsbook accounts are good to go. There are six mobile sportsbooks in Illinois, and all offer baseball lines:
- Barstool
- BetRivers
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- PointsBet
- William Hill’s Caesars Sportsbook
Cubs fans can bet on the run line, moneyline over/under, various props, etc. First five betting is also popular in Illinois.
