Despite of vaccination status, faces are now required across the state as of August 30. Wrigley Field is fully operational as of June 11. & nbsp,

On Friday, Illinois initiated its Bridge Phase that permits Chicago baseball teams to bring back fans at a 60% capacity.

Previously, only 25% of fan capacity was allowed at Wrigley Field and Guaranteed Rate Field. However, starting May 28 against the Reds, the Cubs will be able to boost that to 60%.

Wrigley Field has the capacity to hold 41,649 spectators at maximum capacity. Hence, at 60% capacity, each game will approximately have 25,000 fans in attendance.

Crane Kenney, the Cubs president of business operations, is optimistic that Wrigley Field could be operating at full capacity by July, suggesting that its current 60% capacity may be temporary.

Even though this is all good news for Cubs fans, COVID-19 protocols will still be in place at the games and people will need to comply with them. Here are some of the basic guidelines.

Does Wrigley Field need to wear faces?

Indeed, according to the Cubs’ official website, everyone above the age of 2 is required to wear face masks, irrespective of their vaccination status.

The Cubs recommend their followers to always wear masks while eating or drinking, with one significant exception. Masks equipped with valves and throat gaiters are not permitted.

Furthermore, Wrigley Field is offering disposable masks to those supporters who need them. Also, hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the venue.

Completely incentives for those who receive vaccinations at Wrigley

Wrigley Field has been transformed into a large COVID-19 vaccination center. Injections are being given at Gallagher Way, outside the stadium. Appointments can be made and there is ample availability.

Fans who get vaccinated ahead of the Cubs’ forthcoming series against the Nationals will be rewarded with a voucher for a complimentary hot dog and soda at the park. It’s unclear how long this benefit will be available, but it is confirmed to be in place for the Washington series.

This year, the BudweiserBleachers might have a location that is fully vaccinated.

In order to remain in the area, it is mandatory to present evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination. If social distancing is not maintained, the space may reach its full capacity. Single-game tickets are available at $20 plus taxes. At the time of writing, only a few tickets were available for purchase online.

Cashless at this point, Wrigley Field

Starting from 2021, Wrigley will introduce a digital payment system. Only wireless wallet, debit cards, or credit cards will be accepted for payment of concessions or raffle tickets.

You can convert cash into a card for purchases at Wrigley Field using reverse ATMs, which are conveniently located throughout the park.

Consequently, the Cubs website advises you to use the MLB Ballpark app on your phone for ordering concessions. The policy states:

As of this year, mobile ordering has become the primary method of getting food and drinks from vendors and concession stands to your seat at baseball games. Purchases can be made using the MLB Ballpark app or website, accessed by scanning a QR code. Although in-seat hawking is still available, all transactions have transitioned to digital means.

Kids social isolation and COVID techniques

Even though it will be more challenging to maintain distance at 60% capacity compared to 25%, Wrigley Field will continue its efforts to provide fans with their space.

The Cubs are selling cards in capsules. It’s clear that the increased capacity won’t significantly extend the actual distance.

However, Wrigley did make an effort to promote distance.

How to place an Illinois Cubs wager

A retail DraftKingsSportsbook will eventually be established at Wrigley Field, but it is not yet open.

You can currently place bets on the Cubs from your phone, provided that you’ve already downloaded at least one sports betting app in Illinois.

In April, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker removed online sports betting registration. Now, to create an account, you must physically go to a casino or horse racetrack.

However, those who already possess online sportsbook accounts are set. In Illinois, six mobile sportsbooks exist, all of which provide baseball lines.
