Wrigley Field

Chicagoans can look forward to a new Illinois sportsbook arriving at Wrigley Field for the baseball season, complete with upgraded concessions and opportunities for baseball betting and consulting MLB odds. Chicago Cubs fans have plenty of reasons to be excited.

Have you secured tickets to a Cubs game this summer? Excited to explore the area around Wrigley Field? Check out my top five favorite dining spots near the stadium.

Cheesie’s Pub & Grub

Location: 958 W Belmont Ave, within walking distance of Wrigley Field, approximately a 10-minute walk.

Cheesie’s has established itself as a top spot in Chicago for specialty grilled cheese sandwiches, with The Mac often touted as a favorite. However, the true standout at Cheesie’s is the Tenderizer, featuring a delicious combination of chicken tenders, bacon, cheese, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce on Texas Toast. With a menu full of tempting options, any sandwich from Cheesie’s is sure to satisfy.

You may have already guessed, but I suggest Cheesie’s for a delicious post-game meal, especially enjoyable with a few beers. Located in the heart of Lakeview, it is just the right distance from Wrigley Field – close enough to be lively, but not too crowded.

Old Crow Smokehouse

Location: 3506 N Clark St, within a 3-minute walking distance to Wrigley Field

Old Crow is the ultimate spot to experience the hustle and bustle before or after a game. Whether you thrive in the chaos or prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, Old Crow offers delicious barbecue in a spacious outdoor setting. Enjoy live country bands on Friday and Saturday nights, and test your skills at live band karaoke on Thursdays.

The food at Old Crow is top-notch, with options like brisket and burnt ends that never disappoint. Every item on the menu is a winner. And being so close to Wrigley Field, you can feel the excitement of a Cubs game approaching. Enjoy the delicious food and lively atmosphere in the heart of the north side, the home neighborhood of Chicago’s beloved team.

Corridor Brewery & Provisions

Location: 3446 N Southport Ave, within an 11-minute walking distance to Wrigley Field.

Corridor Brewery & Provisions, located in the Southport Corridor, offers a calm dining option with original brews and delicious eats. The upscale bar food menu features favorites like the Patty Melt and Pesto Both Worlds pizza.

Corridor is conveniently located just an 11-minute walk from Wrigley Field, making it a great option for avoiding the large crowds at restaurants closer to the stadium. This is ideal for those looking to park in Lakeview and save money by avoiding the pricier parking lots near Wrigley.

Happy Camper

Location: 3458 N Clark St, just a short 4-minute walk away from Wrigley Field.

Craving pizza before or after the game? Head to Happy Camper for a wide selection of specialty pizzas and a build-your-own option. Personally, I recommend trying the Tony pizza, which is topped with prosciutto, spinach, caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, balsamic, goat cheese, and cream cheese. I’ve sampled about half of the pizzas on the menu and haven’t been disappointed yet. Don’t forget to try the appetizers as well, like the Potato Skins loaded with pulled pork, bacon, sour cream, and more.

5411 Empanadas

3715 N Southport Ave, just a 9-minute walk away from Wrigley Field.

Another essential spot on Southport Corridor is 5411. They offer a variety of empanadas including chicken curry, mac & cheese, ratatouille, bacon-date-goat cheese, and more. If you’re looking for a quick bite and not a full meal, 5411 is the perfect stop. You can even order ahead for speedy pickup. If you’re headed home, they also sell frozen empanadas for you to bake yourself. Additionally, 5411 is known for their outstanding coffee.

If you love empanadas, Cafe Tola nearby is a great choice near Wrigley Field.
