On Tuesday, April 19, the Golden Nugget Danville Casino will hold its breakthrough service. The government is not permitted to attend the event, which will be held at 204 Eastgate Drive in Danville.

Last month, the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) found Danville “preliminarily suitable” for a casino license. Officials expect casino construction to take about 11 months, which means Golden Nugget Danville could open its doors by March 2023.

The casino will feature a 41,500-square-foot gaming floor with 500 slot machines14 table games and two restaurants. It will also have a Golden Nugget Sportsbook.

The plan calls for the establishment of 300 full-time work at the casino.

According to Mayor Rickey Williams Jr., the game will bring in millions of dollars for the neighborhood.

When it comes to blackjack timelines, local officials occasionally have an excessive amount of ambition. Williams has, but, so far kept his word.

According to what he said about a potential March timeline, Here & rsquo:

What that would mean for Danville is in 45 to 60 days, & ldquo, you would probably be experiencing a groundbreaking. In order to do that, we may meet as soon as April or the end of April. After that, a blackjack would probably start in the first few months of 2023. & rdquo,

Danville is on a great track with the game breakthrough scheduled for April 19. Additionally, it is in Danville & rsquo’s best interest to open its doors as soon as possible given that a new casino is currently being built in nearby Terre Haute, Indiana.

Position of additional upcoming Illinois games

With this ground-breaking information, Danville is vying to become Illinois’s next permanent casino & nbsp.

Early in 2023, Walker & rsquo, a casino in Williamson County, should open its permanent location. Between those two, it will be.

However, there will be a few temporary casinos open before then. Waukeganplans to open its temporary casino in July, while Rockford’s is already operational. Danville will not have a temporary casino, partly due to its relatively quick construction timeline.

However, permanent gambling in Rockford and Waukegan are expected to open before those in Danville and Williamson County.

After Danville, Wind Creek Casino Homewood / East Hazel Crest intends to open its permanent location in the middle of 2023.

What about Chicago?

And last but not least, we also have some Chicago casino news.

All three remaining bidders — Hard Rock Chicago, Bally’s Chicago and Rivers 78held community meetings this week.

Residents of the damaged neighborhoods aren’t always thrilled about living in the same location as a casino, so each group faced open criticism. In any case, the procedure may move forward as Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot anticipates selecting a victor by the summertime.

It is not anticipated that the Chicago game will be accessible to the general public until at least 2025.
