Super Bowl

The Super Bowl betting figures were released by the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB), showing yet another successful performance by Illinois sportsbooks.

Residents of Illinois wagered a total of $60.5 million on the Rams vs. Bengals Big Game. This resulted in state tax revenue amounting to $1.43 million due to the $9.5 million profit made by IL sportsbooks. This represented a hold rate of 15.7%, a figure considerably above the industry norms.

Last month, the total purse for the Super Bowl between the Buccaneers and the Chiefs was $45.6 million, with users earning $7.66 million.

The Super Bowl result was the most favorable outcome for most casinos. Despite the Bengals being a popular sportsbook bet, there was more money on the line for the Rams spread. Hence, a narrow victory for the Rams was also highly advantageous for the operators.

As is usually the case, most of the control stemmed from cellular bet. The bulk of the handle, amounting to 90.4%, was generated online.

less development than anticipated?

Since April, Illinois has allowed in-person sports betting registration. This hasn’t appeared to negatively affect general revenue numbers, though a Super Bowl figure of $60.4 million might seem less impressive compared to the previous year.

The most recent monthly revenue report we got was for December 2021. Handle increased by nearly 40% between December 2020 and December 2021. However, the Super Bowl handle only saw a spike of about 25% year-over-year.

Following Gov. JB Pritzker’s return with a physical membership, Illinois residents had approximately two weeks to initiate online transactions after last year’s Super Bowl before Pritzker suspended the executive order, according to the schedule.

As of March 5th, we will cease accepting in-person memberships. Consequently, we can expect considerable progress for next year’s Super Bowl.

Cuts of the Super Bowl by betting

The IGB has also provided sports gambling splits for every casino in Illinois. Here are the contact numbers for online casinos: & nbsp

    Sportsbook:$ 21. 5 million

  • FanDuel:$ 17 million
  • BetRivers:$ 9.6 billion
  • The bet is $5 million.
  • Barstool:$ 4. 8 million
  • Casino of William Hill: $1.8 million

The final tackle came from a physical sportsbook.

There will be more casinos soon.

Illinois, one of the leading states in the US for sports betting, has a scarcity of casinos. However, this situation is expected to change in 2022.

At the most recent meeting of the IGB, BetMGM Sportsbook was approved for a license. It is anticipated that BetMGM will be operational in time for betting on March Madness.

Furthermore, there are three unidentified website candidates whose identities could soon be revealed. Keep an eye out for names such as Bally Bet, Unibet, theScore Bett, WynnBET, Golden Nugget, and FOX Bet.

In the end, it’s difficult to ignore the sports betting odds in Illinois. However, the state’s full potential is expected to be unveiled in 2022 and in the future.
