Rivers Casino Near Chicago Unveils $87M Expansion Plans, Includes Poker Room

Des Plaines’ Rivers Casino has significant development plans in mind.

The casino filed its plans with the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) and the city of Des Plaines last week. If approved, Rivers Casino’s 78,000-square-foot expansion will include a two-story addition, a pokerroom and more slots and tablegames.

Rivers Casinowould accommodate an additional 725 new seats, gaming positions, and & ldquo. The Illinois game would become the first to reach the maximum of 2, 000 games positions permitted by state law as a result.

A new restaurant and a 10,000 square foot room for activities are also part of the proposed$ 87 million growth.

Rush Street Gaming and ChurchillDowns Incorporated own Rivers Casino, which easily brought in the most revenue of any Illinois casino last year.

Rivers Casino’s senior vice president and general director, Corey Wise, stated:

The most well-liked game location in Illinois is & ldquo, Rivers, and with this rise, we are still concentrating on our customers to win their loyalty. We were the first game to open a physical location to increase the size of our game floor. IGB authorization is needed for the plans, and city of Des Plaines authorization for zoning.

Design can start in the springtime and be finished in first andnbsp, 2022, if the game plans receive a green light.

Illinois may see the arrival of new games

The most well-liked game in Illinois right now is Rivers, and it should stay that way for a while.

But thanks to the 2019 gaming expansion bill, six new casinos can be built in the Land of Lincoln.

So far, the Hard Rock Casino Rockford has been found preliminarily suitable by the IGB, and is only one step away from final approval.

With that said, Rivers’ most significant competition would likely come from the future downtown Chicago casino that was included in the gaming expansion.

Illinois is likely years away from the downtown Chicago casino coming to fruition, though. The IGB has moved at a slow pace in assessing applications, and downtown Chicago doesn’t seem to be close to submitting materials.

The other casinos would be in the southern cities, Waukegan, Danville, and Williamson County.

Did Rivers benefit from an Illinois online blackjack as well?

Rivers will benefit if the plan is implemented because of its popularity and location. Until a game is built it, it will be the closest game to the downtown area and is located just outside of Chicago.

These development plans had undoubtedly improve the first-time visitor experience at Rivers Casino.
