A poker room is soon to open, and some aspects of Rivers Casino & rsquo’s$ 87 million expansion plan have already been implemented.

Anticipation is growing for the Rivers flower to unveil its blackjack area, which is expected to be highly popular in Illinois. With only three poker rooms currently in the Land of Lincoln, Rivers provides an excellent location for an additional one.

Rivers is the highest-grossing casino in Illinois, so its 22-table poker room is expected to attract a lot of attention.

At the time of the expansion announcement, Greg Carlin, CEO and co-founder of Rush Street Gaming, stated:

This proposed expansion will enable us to offer our guests additional entertainment and dining options, as well as increased gaming opportunities and a much-anticipated poker room. We have a history of providing our visitors with a top-notch experience. As the economy reopens, we are excited to raise the bar and deliver an even more exceptional experience.

The Rivers growth consists of two floors, with the first floor already completed. On January 24, an Asian-themed restaurant and a larger games area were inaugurated.

The full coverage of the casino’s development is 78,000 square feet. The poker room is known as the king diamond.

Rivers has lofty goals for Chicago.

Rivers, already a significant player in the Chicagoland region, aims to substantially enhance its product.

Two out of five megacasino proposals in Chicago are its responsibility. One is planned for McCormick Place and the other for “The 78” development site, situated near Chinatown and the south loop.

Specifically, the 78 blog seems to have a strong likelihood of winning the bid. Bally & rsquo submitted two proposals, while Hard Rock also put forward one.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is expected to announce the winning bidder when the Des Plaines poker space opens its doors in April.

relaxed and vaxxed?

Illinois may lift its indoor mask mandate, applicable to gambling, on February 28.

However, Rivers is situated in Cook County, which currently requires vaccination. This requirement is not in place anywhere else in Illinois.

Starting next month, neither masks nor vaccinations will be necessary at Rivers, as Cook County plans to eliminate both of its mandates.

To put it mildly, predicting the course of the COVID-19 pandemic flight has been a challenge in the past. Therefore, it is yet to be determined if these alterations will stand the test of time.

Even though Rivers Des Plaines’ company is already thriving, it is expected that these changes will attract an even larger customer base. This includes the addition of a brand-new casino area.
