Rivers Casino in Des Plaines will now require proof of vaccination for entry, following the implementation of a COVID-19 vaccine mandate by Cook County.

This action is taken in response to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant in Illinois. Even though this strain seems to be less severe than its predecessors, it has prompted health officials in Chicago and Cook County to enforce a vaccine requirement for indoor venues.

Cook County defines “ldquo” as receiving either two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of Johnson & Johnson. As it stands currently, an entrance friend is not required.

You have the option to display your official vaccination card, a photo of the card, or a QR code downloaded from the official portal of the Illinois Department of Health.

Rivers Casino is the only casino in Cook County requiring vaccinations, due to the lack of a nationwide vaccine policy.

That being said, a few more significant locations will require proof of immunization.

authority for vaccinations at Chicago venues and Illinois bookmakers

PointsBet operates three physical betting locations in Cook County. Two Off-Track Betting (OTB) sites are situated in Crestwood and Prospect Heights, while the main establishment can be found at Hawthorne Race Course in Stickney.

Then, you are required to present your vaccination documentation for entry.

Meanwhile, the United States Center has been mandating vaccinations and/or negative tests throughout the season. However, starting January 3, the market will stop accepting exemptions and will instead need evidence of vaccination.

Regarding those exemptions, it is stated on the UC’s website that:

Visit the FAQ section for the City of Chicago’s Vaccine Requirement here for further details, including comprehensive instructions for exceptions.

Taking into account the recommended advice, the Guest Services team at the United Center will assess visitors with medical or genuine religious exemptions on an individual basis. Such individuals are required to provide evidence of their previous medical or religious exemption, such as a letter from their doctor, employer, or religious leader attesting to their exemption. They must also provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before their arrival at the United Center.

To attend games at Wintrust Arena, the home of DePaul basketball, proof of vaccination is also required.

It is unclear whether Wrigley Field or Guaranteed Rate Field implemented vaccine mandates as we approach the next baseball season. Neither venue did so for the 2021 season, and given that they are outdoor spaces, the circumstances are distinct.

At Rivers Casino, are veils necessary?

Faces are also necessary at all of these locations.

That being said, none of them have any potential restrictions. During the early stages of the pandemic, there were extended periods where games were held at 25% or 50% capacity.

This law is an exception if you are constantly eating or drinking.

How this impacts the subscription for IL sports gambling

In Illinois, a physical enrollment requirement for sports betting still exists.

Therefore, if you haven’t been vaccinated, you are unable to register for a balance in BetRivers or PointsBet in El.

That could alter on March 5 when the obligation for physical membership ends. There is no clue as to the extent of the vaccine mandate’s implementation.
