Today, the group approved FanDuel, Par-A-Dice Casino’s licensing partner, to begin online betting. A representative from the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) confirmed this information. Shortly thereafter, the FanDuel blog went live.

The approval is granted prior to the official commencement of the NFL season, which starts on September 10th.

Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group, stated that sports fans in Illinois have been eagerly anticipating this day. They will now have the opportunity to enjoy a cutting-edge sports gambling app with exceptional campaigns and consumer protections that have contributed to FanDuel’s position as the top casino in the US. The return of sports is now here.

Customers of FanDuel can register electronically.

The time is right for FanDuel to enter the online sports betting market in Illinois.

Last week, Governor J.B. Pritzker issued an executive order suspending the in-person registration requirement until at least Sept. 19th.

This means that bettors are not required to visit Par-A-Dice in East Peoria to place a wager with FanDuel. The registration process can be easily completed online using your computer or phone.

The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) has announced that Par-A-Dice currently does not have on-site membership available. They should consider obtaining approval for any internal procedures regarding on-site membership before September 19. Until then, membership can only be processed electronically.

Additionally, Par-A-Dice has not received approval to conduct sports betting activities on its premises.

Six states now offer FanDuel Sportsbook electronically.

FanDuel’s online and mobile sports betting program is now available in Illinois, thanks to its partnership with Boyd Gaming. This marks the fifth state where the program has been launched.

The FanDuel Par-A-Dice Sportsbook can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices by Illinois residents and visitors.

FanDuel, an Illinois-based virtual casino, has partnered with DraftKings Sportsbook and BetRivers to become the primary bookmakers in Illinois for the start of the NFL season.

PointsBet has not yet submitted a request to the Illinois Gaming Board to start accepting bets through their partner, Hawthorne Racetrack, in accordance with law 1100. FanDuel’s request, which was submitted on August 19, was approved in just nine days, leaving PointsBet with a limited time frame to act.
