“American Place’s The Temporary” recently declared its intention to commence business operations in October. This appropriately named establishment will temporarily serve as the primary facility in Waukegan until the permanent American Place casino opens.

The Temporary will showcase 50 table games and 1,000 slot machines, complemented by a bar and three restaurants. It will be housed in a tent-like structure spanning 70,000 square feet. Furthermore, it is sturdy enough to withstand the harsh winter weather of Illinois.

The Temporary casino will also accommodate a Circa Sportsbook featuring 36 televisions for watching the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks. The alliance with Full House will enable Circa to introduce its mobile app in Illinois.

While the structure is temporary, it will accommodate casino enthusiasts as the actual American Place is being constructed nearby. The American Place, costing approximately $400 million, is set to open in 2025 and pledges to offer a novel experience for Illinois casino visitors.
