Supply chain issues and approval process complications have delayed the opening of the Waukegan American Place temporary casino located between Chicago and Milwaukee.

In July, a momentary game will be opened by Full House Resorts, which will run the future American Place Casino in Waukegan.

Both the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) and the city of Waukegan need to give their approval before a July target date can be established. Full House anticipates initiating the everlasting casino in approximately two years.

In December, the IGB deemed Full House “preliminarily suitable” for a license. During the same session, the board chose Wind Creek Casino Homewood/East Hazel Crest as the successful bidder for the south suburban license.

Alex Stolyar, the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Full House, informed the Chicago Tribune that the temporary casino is expected to be around 65,000 square feet.

He likened it to a high-tension tent,” he said. The Temporary by American Place is what we refer to it as. It is also known as ‘rsquo’.

Assuming all proceeds as intended, the temporary game will feature 1,000 slot machines, 50 board games, and a casino.

Stolyar also stated that the temporary casino would be employing hundreds of workers. Open positions include dealers, slot machine technicians, security staff, surveillance handlers, marketing experts, and supervisory staff.

The design process can commence once the programs have been approved by the town and the IGB.

For the Hard Rock temporary game, we have the numbers.

The temporary Hard Rock Rockford casino, which opened last fall, recently provided updates on its business performance to date.

The temporary casino earned approximately $8.5 million in combined revenue in November and December. This figure was the seventh-highest among Illinois’ 11 casinos over the same two-month period.

Hard Rock is also not allowed to host board games. The temporary location is situated at the former Giovanni’s Restaurant and Convention Center.

The ability to continue will likely commence at some point in 2023, and it will be accessible for a duration of up to two years.

The most recent blackjack news in Chicago

We experienced a wave of news regarding Chicago casinos towards the end of 2021, but things have quieted down since. Here’s the current situation.

Five proposals are up for consideration by the city of Chicago. Mid-December saw bidders making their presentations to the city and the public.

According to Mayor Lori Lightfoot, the town plans to select a winner between now and the end of March, which is the first quarter of this year.

Both Rush Street Gaming and Bally & rsquo submitted two bids each, while Hard Rock submitted one.

Once the town has decided on the bet, it can collaborate with the operator to submit a request to the IGB.
