Supply chain issues and approval process complications have delayed the opening of the Waukegan American Place temporary casino located between Chicago and Milwaukee.

The Illinois Gaming Board recently gave unanimous approval to Full House Resorts’ proposal to open the American Place Casino in Waukegan. This signifies progress in the development of new casinos in Illinois.

Full House will initially launch a temporary casino in July 2022, prior to the commencement of the everlasting game in approximately two centuries.

Nonetheless, Full House needs to complete a significant amount of paperwork before they can welcome guests, even prior to the temporary casino’s opening.

Job fair hosted by a whole house

Alex Stolyar, the Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Full House, recognized that there are numerous tasks to accomplish before the temporary location can open its doors. Primarily, staffing the game is the most crucial task on the list.

He said:

We plan to collaborate with the city and begin our joint efforts. Our makeshift game is in the works. We have about a thousand tasks to complete. The process of hiring team members will also commence soon.

A career fair for locals was hosted by Full House to initiate the interview process. Additional sessions will be conducted at the Amherst Lake Office Complex on Waukegan Road starting March 29 and 31. Around 40 programs have already been registered.

The following positions will be open at the new game: associates for sales and marketing operations, surveillance and monitoring specialists, casino device technicians, and dealers.

Promises have been made for comprehensive benefits plans and competitive pay to address these gaps.

Stolyar continued:

We are looking for locals. Many of them are expected to stay with us for three years before transitioning into the permanent game. They will be ready to move and fully trained.

Reports indicate that the temporary sites will necessitate hundreds of workers, whereas the permanent location must fill 1,800 positions prior to serving customers.

What the momentary blackjack can expect

The temporary space is set to expand to 75,000 square feet, accommodating a sportsbook, 50 gaming tables, 1,000 slot machines, and food and beverage services catering to both locals and visitors in the northern Illinois town.

A Waukegan planning board recently unanimously approved plans for a temporary game, which will have an unconventional approach.

The structure will be a high-pressure tent, pale in color and without windows, manufactured by Sprung Structures.

“Stolyar stated with excitement, “I’m grateful for the recommendation. A unanimous positive vote always brings me happiness.”

Full House intends to run the transitory game 24 hours per day.
